俺は、選挙権がありませんが

I have no voting right but

今日は、オーストラリアの地方選挙の日。

It’s local government elections today.

オーストラリアの選挙は、義務化されており

投票しなければ、罰金を払わなくてはいけません。

Voting in Australia is compulsory.

If you don’t vote then you will be fined.

NSWでは、罰金$55です。28日以内の支払い。

$55 fine in NSW .

must be paid within 28days.

因みに、ID チェックは無いようです。

BTW, identification check wasn’t required.

多分、誰でも他の人の投票ができちゃうと思う。

I’m guessing that anyone can vote for someone else.
