一年のうちこの2週間が。

なんかずっと釣りに燃えてて最近。

I was very passionated for fishing lately.

で、こないだやっとテイラー釣れて。

I got tailors finally.

でも、結構道のりは長くて。

but it was a long way to catch them.

釣れた釣れたみんな言い出して。

people talked about tailors 

そんで行ったら、隣の奴は釣れてるけど

then I had a go but only other guy got one.

俺たちはダメでみたいな。

we had no luck.

そんで、ルアーの重い奴で遠くに飛ばして

so I tried heavier lures so I can cast away a bit far than before.

探る範囲を広くしたりとか

More area I could cast and search.

シンキングの奴使ったりとかして。

or changing lures not like the water surface one slightly sinking so searching under the water.

QLDに遠征とかもして、スピットってとこに行ったら、アジア人が橋を占拠してるとこを見てダイブ引くと言う経験をしたり。

Changed the fishing spot so we went to the spit in QLD but there were lots of Asians.

I just could not stand it it was way too much. 

で、結局地元が一番いいなって事でまとまって

then we concluded that our local fishing spot is the best.

最初からそこでやっとけって話だったって言う。

maybe we should have come here all the time.

で、やっぱりそこで釣れちゃうし。

then of course we cought fishes.

なんか、58gのジグ投げて、巻いてたらいきなり下から海面めがけて魚の影が見えて

で、結構岸寄りのとこでテイラー噛み付いてきて。

when I cast a 58g metal jig and winding down,

I saw fish of shadows coming up from the bottom.

and those shadows were chasing my lure and finally hpoked on.

釣りましたよ遂に。

I got tailor!!!

で、色々違う種類のルアー使って

I tried all the lures I had

一通り当たりあって

and every single one I had fish

中には、糸ちぎって逃げる奴もいる。

some of them actually bite off the line and ran away.

ホッパーなんか半分噛みちぎっていく奴もいる 

when I cast plastic one, half of them they bite off and gone.

結局は、なんでも釣れるって事だな。

I mean it doesn’t really matter what lures you use.

そこに、魚がいれば釣れる。

there must be fishes so you get some.

で、又別の日なんかは、ガミーシャーク釣ったり。

and another day, I had a gummy shark too.

歯がない奴。

he doesn’t have tooth 

エラとか、モロサメで。

His gills looks like absolutely shark.

怖いから逃がしたよ。

I was a bit scared so put him back into ocean. 

ところで、ブログは月1でやります。

By the way I only do blog once a month.

i feel lazy...

サトウキビ畑

又ブログサボってました。

I was lazy that I didn’t do this again.

高速道路でオーストラリアの田舎を走ってると良く見る光景が、サトウキビ畑。

when you go country side on high way, you see sugar cane very often. 

日本で言う、お米の畑が連なってる光景に似てます。

It’s like rice field in japan.

先日、歯医者の帰りに高速を走ってると、遠くの方が明るくなっていて 「あれ？火事でも起きたかなっ」って思ってました。

I was driving my car on high way after the dentist, I noticed that it’s very bright out there,I thought there might be a bush fire.

近ずくと、サトウキビ畑を燃やしてました。

When I past next to the sugar cane field, farmer set on fire for their fields.

収穫の時に、茎や葉っぱを燃やしてしまうそうです。

When it’s harvested, sugar cane is burnt to remove outer leaves around the stalks.

工場でやるより手間が省けるってことでしょう。

It’s much more easier and productive rather than doing it in the factory. 

この時期良く見る光景。

It’s a seasonal thing that we see it often.

地元の人曰く、焼いた後のサトウキビの方が甘くて美味しいそうです。

Locals told me it’s nice and sweet after burning.

知らないが最強

“知らないって、怖い”ってたまにありますねー

People some times experiences it’s a bit scary that someone don’t know things.(so someone  think it’s all right if he /she did things totally different)

こないだ、3年越しで魚ゲットとかブログに書いた。

I just posted about the fish which I’ve been chasing for 3years.

名前は、テイラー

It’s called tailor.

で、そのテイラーですが、テイラーじゃなかったと言う。トラベリーっだったと言う。

So the fish we thought tailor wasn’t tailor. 

It was travelly....no it wasn’t tailor.

なんかテイラーテイラー言ってたけどね、

I’ve been talking about tailor tailor but

なんせ釣った事ないし、写真とかで見ただけだし。

I haven’t caught tailor and only I know them by photos...

近くでマジマジ見た訳じゃないし、詳細なんて知らない。

I didn’t look at this fish very well so I don’t know all the details. 

ただ、秋から冬にかけて釣れて、しかも、一匹釣れたら入れ食いだと。

I only know that You get them in autumn and winter often and once you get one, you get heaps in short time.

その日も、一匹釣れたら友達も釣れて。

当たりが、凄くて。

I caught one and my friend caught one. It was like we caught the fish one after another.

also there was a lot of wobble every time we threw.

althought we only had couple of fish.

まー言い訳はこれくらいにして。

Ok I’ll stop whining 

と言う訳で、まだテイラー釣ってません。

So what I wanted to say is I haven’t caught the tailor yet.

コアラ

今日は、なんだか動物を良く見た。

I don’t know why but I saw some of wild animals today.

朝波チェックがてらに、近くのヘッドランドへ。

I went to check the surf to the head land nearby.

波上がってます。

It’s picked up.

昨日は、腰腹位で全然良くなかったけど、今日は一気にサイズアップ。頭ー頭オーバーあります。

It was only 1-2foot and didn’t look any good but it’s 3-4foot today. It’s picked up over the night. 

更にちょい北寄りのオフシュアーだったので、岬の反対側もチェック。

It’s kind of like slight northerly off shore wind so I checked waves at the back beach as well.

岬のてっぺんで、海を眺めてると時々鯨が見えました。

I was looking at the ocean and I noticed there were whales.

この辺は、冬になると鯨が移動してきます。

In winter, whales migrate up here.

残念ながら写真は、撮れませんでしが。

Unfortunately I couldn’t get any photos of them.

今度iPhoneじゃなくちゃんとしたカメラで撮影します。

I’ll bring a proper camera and take photos next time.

そんなこんなで、一応ビーチブレイクも波チェック。

Anyway I went to check the surf at open beach as well.

一直線に割れててあまり良くない。

It’s very straight and not very good.

でも、結構いいガター見つけたので、今度釣り行ってみます。

But I found nice gutter so I might go fishing.

それから、家に帰る途中、なんかへんぴなところで数台車が止まってる。

Also, I saw quite a few cars in middle of nowhere.

なんだと思って見てみると

So I looked at where people were looking at,

なんとコアラが🐨🐨🐨！

There was a Koala🐨🐨🐨!

野生のコアラを見る事は滅多にありません。

It’s very hard to find wild koalas.

なんか良いことあるかな〜

今日の遊びから学んだ事。

今日は、朝早く釣りへ出発。

I left home early in the morning for fishing.

ちょこちょこ人々が、テイラーの話をし出してる。

People often talks about tailors these days.

ずっと釣りたい魚のテイラーを狙って

I’ve been targeting this fish for ages.

もう数打てば当たる作戦。

I came cross this idea that If you go fishing more and you get more chance.

だから、わざわざ早起きして。

So I pushed my self to get up earlier than usual.

最近は、日の出が6:30くらい。

Sun rise is about 6:30 lately.

起きて直ぐに近くの岬へ

Soon as I woke up and headed to a headland nearby.

綺麗な景色を横目に。

Passing through a great view. 

丁度、太陽が登って来た。

The sun is just about to rise.

こんな綺麗な景色だってすっかり忘れた。

I totally forgot about this beautiful scenery.

特に地元だってのに

Especially it’s in my neighborhood.

もっと綺麗なものには、心開かないとな。

I better open my mind more and more for those beautiful things.

とか、思いながらいざ釣り。

I thought something like that and Started fishing.

ルアーで始めるが、特に当たりもない。

i chuck the metal but nothing happened.

そして、いつものギャングフック。

Changed to ganghooks as usual.

結構当たりがある。

It wobbles a lot.

今日はなんか違うな、魚がいるぞ。

It’s a bit different than usual, there must be some fishies.

で、突然友達の竿に当たりが！

Suddenly my friend had a bait.

で、いとも簡単にテイラーゲットした。

He just got it that’s the tailor.

俺は、根がかかりしたりで手こずってる。

Because of my hooks was stucked at the bottom so I was struggling to change the hooks.

そして、やっと釣り開始。

I started fishing again.

で、遂にやりました。

Then finally time has come. 

テイラーゲット！

I got the tailor!!

やりました。

I made it!

3年かかりました。

I took 3years.

でも、諦めなくてよかった。

I’m proud of myself that I didn’t give up.

小さな事ですが、大きな事にも通ずる事かなと。

It was such a small things this time but it’s probably very important to make things happen even it’s a big thing.

諦めたらそこで終わりだね。

When you give up its game over.

だから諦めない限りチャンスはあるんだなぁ。

As long as you keep going you alway have a chance.

そして、もっと綺麗な事に心を開こう。

Also I learnt that it’s important to open my mind and see all the beautiful things.

3年越しでも未だに。

こっちに引っ越してきてから始めた釣り。

Ive started fishing since we Came here up in northern NSW.

始めは、見よう見まねで近所のクリークで釣り。

When I started fishing, I just copied what other people do and threw the hooks into the creek in my neighborhood.

ブリームやらキスなどなど適当に釣れた。

I caught some thing easy ones like breams and whitings.

すると、ヤッパリ大きい物が釣りたくなる。

As you keep going, I’m pretty sure, you will be wanting something big ones.

そして、川より海だろうとか、いや、河口の方がいいだろうとか色々考え出す。

Then I came across some of ideas it’s probably better go to beach rather than creek. Or river mouth should be better because that’s where ocean and river cross so there should be more fishes.

そんな中、岬から釣りしてる人が、そこそこのサイズの魚を釣ってるとこを見てきた。

I saw a few guys fishing off the head land and they caught decent size fishes.

そうです。それがテイラーです。

Yes that’s right it called Tailor.

3年越しで、この魚を追っているのですが、未だに釣った事がない。

I’ve been chasing this fish for over 3years and haven’t been successful yet.

俺の予想では、季節的な要素が重要で、ある季節になると大量に南からやって来る。

This is my guess that it’s importantly very seasonal things and at certain time they all migrate from south.

丁度秋頃、水温が下がり出すと皆んなテイラーの話しを始め出す。

It’s just about beginning of autumn, when water temperature drops, lots of people talk about tailor. 

そして、その頃やたら釣り人を見かける。

Also I see a lots of people fishing.

餌は、ギャングフックに小魚、もしくはメタルジグか、プラスチックのルアー。

I use pillys on gang hook or metal jigs and plastic lures. 

そして、波がフラットで満潮の二時間前。

It must be flat and only 2hours before high tide.

波がなければ、より先端まで行ける。そして、より遠くへ飛ばせる。

If there are no waves then you can go to very edge of rocks so you reach very far.

全て条件は揃いました。

All the box was ticked.

さー釣りしましょ。

Let the fun begin.

結果は、小ちゃいブリーム一匹。

Result: a small bream only.

でも、海は綺麗でした。

Water was crystal clear.

誰か釣り教えてください。

Can anyone please teach me fishing.

今日もチョット雨模様。

It’s a little rainy day.

風もあまり吹いてない。

It’s not windy,too.

海は冬らしい面ツルコンディション。

Ocean looks glassy, It’s typcal winter condition.

でも、波はあります。

But there are plenty of waves.

って言うか、俺にはデカすぎ。

Actually it’s too big for me.

6-8ftの波。

6-8ft waves.

仕事終わってから直ぐに近くの海でサーフチェック。

I checked waves nearby straight after work.

波デカ。

It’s big.

ビーチブレイクは無理そうです。

It’s closed out at open beach.

ポイントは結構良さげ。

Point break looks epic.

でも、いつも思うのだが、こういう日に海に入れるのは、本当に上手い人。

But I always think that only experts can get into this kind of condition.

俺とかじゃ、あっと言う間に流されて波に乗れない。

Someone like me just sweeps away and can’t catch the waves.

どうやったらパドルあんなに出来るんだろう？

How they could keep padding that hard？
